Biography

All her life, Ana Bananarama was told she should have been born in the sixties because she was always “trying to save the whales.” Yet, she despises being called a hippie because she doesn’t smoke pot and she regularly showers. In her youth, her contrary ideas landed her in argument after well thought out argument with the adults that taught her to always question authority. Respect it, but question it. Ana Bananarama is a 35 year old freelance blog writer by profession with a passion for analyzing and exposing junk-studies. She aced probability and statistics in college by skipping out on classes regularly. She’s never liked math, but finally sees that it is one of her most powerful weapons. She makes up words, turns nouns into verbs, writes how she talks, and regularly typos thanks to the three beloved children that share her workspace and own her heart. She hates to typo almost as much as she hates junk-studies, but both are a part of her reality.

Stop the Presses! New RoundUp Study Shows How Dangerous It Is… Again.

A Huffington Post writer reported on a new study that showed some intense toxicity concerns with the very popular weed killer RoundUp. Here’s that article. So, the Huffington post article explained, “The EPA is conducting a standard registration review of glyphosate and has set a deadline of 2015 for determining if glyphosate use should be limited. The …

Natural News Corn Maze

New game: Who can find the most original source from a Natural News article citation? Find an article on Natural News. They’ll give you around three links. One will be from a mainstream “.gov” type of site that will give a brief essay on the general topic. Two will probably be to other conspiracy theory …

(Repeatedly) BREAKING NEWS: RoundUp is shown to be toxic, but still we eat it.

Lo. And. Behold. It turns out that the crap that they spray on crops like GMO Corn and GMO Soy (so that farmers don’t have to weed) is even more toxic than safety studies performed by herbicide manufacturers like Monsanto originally claimed. *shrugs* WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?! Not us. Certainly, not us. Ok. Maybe we …

I don’t give a crap about climate change.

Our POTUS is deeply committed to greener living. Climate change is a great concern of his. ”We must have a mechanism to review whether we are keeping our commitments, and to exchange this information in a transparent manner. These measures need not be intrusive, or infringe upon sovereignty. They must, however, ensure that an accord is credible, and …

Breastfeeding Compared to Sex Act on a Mall’s Facebook Page

This evening, I read that a mother was asked to leave the Concord Mall in Wilmington, DE for not nursing her child in the bathroom. It’s not that surprising that the woman’s right to nurse in public was not respected. State breastfeeding laws are regularly ignored by dumb asses. Generally, when state laws are ignored and a company gets …

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. Sorry If That’s A Pain In Your Ass.

Look, I lost a baby. She was stillborn. It’s been 12 years so I don’t need to get into the emotional purging of it anymore, but I want to be real clear about one thing: I am not gong to pretend like it didn’t happen. I realize that babies dying is uncomfortable. It is a fact …
